About Savelugu East
Savelugu East is one of the oldest Circuits in the Savelugu Municipality. It is the largest not in terms of land mass but in terms of number of schools, staffing and enrolment. It shares boundaries with Savelugu West Circuit in the west and Kpatuli Circuit in the Northern part of Savelugu. It also shares boundaries with Sagnarigu Municipal in the south and Nanton District in the East.
The Circuit has a total of thirteen (13) schools with a total enrolment of six thousand and ninety two (6, 092) with a total staff of one hundred and ninety (190). The Circuit has seven Primary Schools, one Basic School and five Junior High Schools. The Savelugu East Circuit is a host to two most populous Primary Schools and three Junior High Schools.in the Savelugu Municipality. Each of the Primary Schools has a total enrolment of 1, 189 and 1, 074 and the Junior High Schools has 409, 439 and 449 respectfully.
The following Schools below are the Basic Schools of Savelugu East Circuit. All the Primary Schools have KG attached to them. The Schools named Basic Schools are composed of KG, Primary, and JHS in them.
